Job Title: Registered Care Manager
Salary Grade: £38,000 - £55,000
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities: - Lead role in ensuring the Statement of Purpose accurately reflects the ethos and aims of the home, with regular reviews and updates.
- Oversight and assurance of the day-to-day running of the Children’s Home and the safety of young people using the services.
- Oversee and sign off Staff Rota in coordination with the Deputy Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Regulations 2015, including Ofsted notifications.
- Coordinate the delivery of individual support packages for children and young people, ensuring care plans meet identified needs and are regularly reviewed.
- Fulfill all requirements under Children’s Homes Regulation 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Oversee recruitment and retention of staff to ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and National Minimum Standards.
- Monitor the implementation of Policies and Procedures, ensuring staff adherence and addressing any shortfalls through training, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure recruitment aligns with the Company policy on ‘SAFER RECRUITMENT,’ including tasks such as writing care plans, organizing referrals and matching, staff management and training, and liaising with social workers and family members.
- Implement a performance management system to audit comprehensively in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, Regulation 44, Ofsted Inspections, and Regulation 45 Reports.
- Proactively resolve complaints at an early stage.
- Manage financial budgets, ensuring service costs are within agreed levels, offer best value, and meet authority and financial regulations.
- Provide effective leadership, management support, supervision, and guidance to all staff employed in the Children’s Home.
Requirements: - Understanding and knowledge of safeguarding processes and policies.
- Experience in producing and implementing service plans, service report cards, and service performance reviews.
- Skills in de-escalating challenging behavior.
- Ability to chair meetings in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Statement of Purpose of the service.
- Participation in monthly Prevention and Placement Management meetings.
