About the Role:

We are looking for a caring and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our residential home. This role is crucial in creating a warm and supportive environment for children and young adults who have experienced difficult times. You will ensure the highest standards of care and support, helping each individual feel secure, valued, and encouraged to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the residential home efficiently in line with relevant legislation, policies, and the Statement of Purpose.
  • Continually assess the needs of children and young people, preparing specific development plans.
  • Coordinate and monitor staffing levels to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain and develop home standards in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment, adhering to Health and Safety legislation.
  • Work proactively with monitoring bodies to exceed set standards.

Requirements:

  • DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 3/4/5 in Working with Young People/Adult Management or willingness to work towards this.
  • Proven experience at a senior level in a residential home for adults/young people.
  • Advanced practice skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of National Care Standards, Care Act, and Regulations.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of work.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take full ownership.
  • Ability to develop and encourage professional growth in staff.
