Assistant Management Accountant

A successful, family-run business are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their small but busy team in Wallingford.

Working closely with the wider Accounts team, you will be an integral member of a growing business in a supportive and friendly environment.

Initially office based, this role has potential for hybrid working following successful completion of a probation period and training.

The role:

• Assist with the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Prepare monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, deferred costs and income reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process online banking transactions
• Management of daily banking and reconciliation
• Assisting with month end accounts
• Cash flow forecast
• Supporting the Management Accountants in any required areas

The right person:

• Significant previous experience in a comparable role
• AAT qualified an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient user of Microsoft packages especially Excel
• Able to work to strict deadlines
• Enjoys working in a close-knit, family-run business with a sociable envrionment
