Finance Assistant

I'm currently working with a Life Science company based in Central Oxford who are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on an initial 3-6 month contract.

Working as part of a small but busy finance team, you will be working directly with the Management Accountant to oversee the daily transactional finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising purchase orders
• Processing invoices and obtaining necessary approvals
• Bank reconciliations for all group company accounts
• Preparation of payment runs including foreign currency payments
• Managing expense claim payments
• Managing the processing and approval process of the corporate card transactions
• Preparation of supplier statement reconciliations and sending out supplier remittances
• Managing the accounts payable inbox
• Other ad-hoc support to the Management Accountant, Financial Controller and wider team as required

Previous experience within a an Accounts Assistant role with Xero is highly desirable however the client will also consider graduates looking to start a career in finance (finance related degree would be beneficial).

This is a hybrid role with a maximum of 2 days in the office and the rest homeworking. You will need to be in a position to start at short notice.
