Assistant Accountant

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager and working on a hybrid basis, duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include:

• Assist in managing all day-to-day operations within the core finance team.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with various sub-teams such as Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Support Teams, and Reporting Teams.
• Support in preparing company's budget, financial reports and handling corporate tax filings, including forecasting, audits, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making capabilities.

The Candidate

To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:

• Part-qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Proficiency in financial software, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Self-motivated and driven, keen on personal growth and development within the company.

Salary & Benefits

In return, the successful Management Accountant will receive the following:

• £28,000 - £35,000 base salary + Bonus
• Hybrid working patterns from the Castleford office
• Career advancement to Finance Manager Level
• Free onsite parking
