Finance Manager

Reed Finance are delighted to be partnered with a fantastic organisation, located in Edinburgh, to support in the recruitment of a new Finance Manager opportunity.

My client, an award-winning business is keen to engage with candidates with a demonstrated career history in leading finance functions, have a hands-on approach the ability to identify & implement process improvements to existing systems.

With an annual turnover of circa. £40m+, my client is interested in speaking with candidates who have current or previous experience working in an SME environment or similar sized organisations.

Ideally, you will be Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience, however, my client has also confirmed that candidates who are Qualified by Experience will also be considered.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing a team of 5 Direct Reports
• Leading the annual budgeting process with the Finance Director
• Producing the monthly Management Accounts, meeting company deadlines
• Responsible for preparing year-end, the annual statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors & advisors
• Preparing the month VAT returns
• Preparing, short- & long-term forecasting to support with strategic business decisions

Candidate

• Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience
• Strong communications skills – written & verbal
• Ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
• Strong Excel Skills with experience of using multiple finance systems
