We are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bury We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team, providing invaluable support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This role combines general classroom assistance with targeted interventions and small group support to help every child thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support and deliver tailored SEN interventions in small group and one-to-one settings.
- Collaborate with the SENCo and class teacher to design and implement individualised education plans.
- Assist in creating focused learning spaces that cater to the specific needs of students with SEN.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all learners feel supported and engaged.
- Adapt learning materials and teaching methods to meet the needs of individual children.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents, and relevant staff members.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to engaging with young learners.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and support staff.
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- A genuine commitment to creating positive and enriching learning experiences for children with SEN.
