Elevation Recruitment have the pleasure of working with one of the leading food producers in the Barnsley area who are looking for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their well established team with immediate effect!
Salary: £45,000- £47,250
Location: Barnsley
Hours: 4 on 4 off – 2 days, 2 nights

Duties of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
- Being proactive within the job focussing on preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance
- Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team ensuring they are fully aware of all relevant engineering activities and schedules
- Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production uptime according to given priorities
- Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
- Planned preventative maintenance will be a daily task as one of the core values of the company
- Working within a team environment so must be a team player, but also work from own initiative when needed
- Ensure always adhering to health and safety procedures.
Desired experience:
- You must have at least Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained or equivalent)
- Have at least 5 years experience within an electrical maintenance engineer role in a manufacturing environment previously
- Have experience of machinery maintenance ideally within FMCG environments
- Possess good electrical & mechanical fault-finding skills
- Flexible to work shifts due to the nature of the role
