Production Operative

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit individuals to join our client in Aylesford.

Working hours are 08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday with 30 minutes unpaid lunch and two paid ten-minute tea breaks.

Duties

• Working in a manufacturing environment
• Day to day production tasks as directed by Supervisor/Chargehand, including Operating machinery, assembly, final assembly, etc. to quality standards
• Read and understand 'work instructions’ and ensure output produced complies with the instructions
• Ability to perform internal manufacturing procedures.
• Able to meet quality and output targets
• Assist with housekeeping as needed
• Be flexible in performing different duties around the department
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Company rules
• Assist others in department or other areas of production if necessary
• Any other general factory tasks

Knowledge, Experience & Qualification

• Ideally experiences in sheet metal manufacturing in a busy production environment previous transferable experience
• Physically fit, able to work with a large number of heavy items
• Team player but able to work on own initiative
• Calm in manner, with ability to demonstrate good level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise changing workloads
• Can-do flexible attitude to meet increased volumes and peak seasons
