I am looking for a hardworking Production Operative with experience working in a manufacturing environment preparing metal to be painted.

If you have used a shot blaster, or have experience in sanding or fettling, this role is ideal for you!

I would consider candidates with some sanding experience looking for a company who will offer training and progression!

What does a day in the life of a Paint Prepper look like?!

  • Working in a factory environment, using a range of power tools in a ‘heavy industrial’ environment
  • Carrying out a range of metal preparation processes to components before they are painted
  • Fettling, sanding, shot-blasting, degreasing, sealing, washing of metal parts
  • Physical inspection of parts to ensure top quality
  • Ensuring that parts are protected from industrial processes through masking threads and bores meticulously
  • Packing finished products to be sent to production.
  • Carrying out any other ad-hoc duties as required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Some relevant experience in or knowledge of industrial manufacturing environments where metal is being prepared for painting
  • The ability to use power tools
  • Good hand eye coordination.
  • A good level of physical fitness – this is a physically demanding role requiring heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
  • A reliable attitude to work demonstrated by a solid CV
  • The ability to work on site in Marden 5 days per week

Salaries for this role will be dependent on skills and experience.

If you are looking for the top end of the range, you will have:

  • Experience using a shot blaster (abrasive blaster, sandblaster, media blaster, grit blaster, surface preparation machines will all be relevant)
  • A background in automotive manufacturing

My client can offer:

  • A stable, long-term opportunity working for a global market leader
  • A generous benefits package
  • A friendly working culture
  • A competitive salary depending on experience
  • Training and development for employees who demonstrate commitment and reliability
  • Regular overtime if wanted
  • Sought-after hours with an early finish on a Friday

My client will interview immediately with quick turnaround available so apply online NOW!
