History Teacher

History teacher - Bury - ASAP start

Prospero Teaching are working with a large secondary school in Bury who are seeking a History Teacher to work in their school as soon as possible from January until July on a full time basis. You will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging & that will stretch the classes in key stage 3 & 4. You will be required to become fully immersed in school, attending departmental meetings, parents' evenings etc and posses strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students and build a rapport quickly.

There is a large on-site car park and parking available on nearby roads. There are also good public transport links close by.

Minimum rate of pay: in line with your main pay scale

Hours: 8:15 am-4 pm (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified Teacher of History

Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum

Teacher of History at key stage 3 and 4

Hold a valid & recognised teaching qualification

Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last 12 months (essential, however training can be provided)

Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided)

You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply basis , the role is open to ECT's and more experienced teachers. You will be required to commit to the role in it's entirety.
