We currently supporting a well-established construction business based in Birmingham, dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. The team is committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainability. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and statements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and answer queries.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Construction experience advantageous.
  • AAT Level 4 qualified desired.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
