Are you an empathetic and experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to make a difference? A vibrant primary school in Haringey, North London, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 1 pupil with Autism and personal care requirements. This full-time role, starting 27th January, is ideal for someone confident in managing challenging behaviour and providing tailored support to help a child succeed.

• Offer 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with Autism, assisting with personal care and classroom engagement.
• Implement individualised strategies to encourage learning and positive behaviour.
• Work alongside teachers and staff to ensure the child feels supported and included in activities.
• Use creativity and adaptability to engage the child in their learning journey.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment to support emotional and social development.

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, particularly with SEN or Autism.
• Confidence in managing behaviour challenges with a calm and proactive approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with children.
• A patient and empathetic nature, with the resilience to handle dynamic situations.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one through the agency.
