At UU, we champion flexible ways of working. In-person attendance is required three days per week to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.

The Role

Are you highly experienced with project lifecycle information systems and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels? Are you currently a Project Information Manager/BIM Manager with working experience of international standards for Information Management, or are you working in a supporting role and ready to step up? If so, you could be a great fit for our Project Information Manager role.

As a Project Information Manager you will ensure that project information, project information systems and digital information management technologies meet the requirements for the efficient and effective delivery of UU’s Capital Programme and the delivery of asset information to the operational business. Achieving the level of accuracy and completeness to support a safe working environment, compliance to all statutory requirements, the capability framework and the digital ambitions of UU’s wider business.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure all project participants (internal staff, partners, suppliers, contractors) comply with information requirements.
  • Manage and develop project information systems and enhance the effectiveness of project information processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gain insights into project information management through data-driven solutions.
  • Coordinate with Regional Delivery Managers and Engineering Managers to maintain awareness of programme data and address issues.
  • Work with any external Information Managers to support information management.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information exchange with the supply chain.
  • Update guidance and specifications as needed.
  • Implement training plans for project information management processes and systems for all relevant staff and contractors.
  • Deliver lessons learned to Commercial, Engineering and Capital Delivery (CEC) and Capital Projects, including cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and address health and safety, regulatory, and statutory changes in asset configuration, processes, or systems.
  • Lead data and information governance or working groups.
  • Line manage a small team.

  • Ability to present technical information in a business-friendly manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills.
  • High level of technical knowledge of assets and processes.
  • High level of technical knowledge of information systems and technologies.
  • Good awareness and experience of the project life cycle within construction/capital projects or similar.
