Reeson Education is collaborating with a reputable primary school in Prestwich (M25) to recruit a dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term position involves providing general classroom support to Year 6 students, assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering educational activities tailored to Year 6 students.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils, ensuring they grasp key concepts in the curriculum.
• Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a respectful and focused atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Support students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs, to achieve their full potential.
• Assist in the assessment and recording of student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.

Qualifications and Experience Required for the Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within Key Stage 2, is essential.
• A solid understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and the ability to support students in preparation for their transition to secondary education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational development.
