Management Accountant

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and diligent Management Accountant for our client based in Coventry. This individual will be responsible for providing financial information and advice to the management team, assisting with strategic planning, and enhancing overall business performance. This role is a fixed term contract for 6 months, you must be available to start at short notice.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage financial operations including company budgets and forecasts, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
2. Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures.
3. Prepare monthly and annual management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
4. Assist with project work, as required, including the evaluation of potential investments and new business opportunities.
5. Collaborate with the management team to set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist them in their understanding and decision-making process.
6. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and tax legislation.
7. Drive cost analysis, identify trends, and recommend actions to achieve company financial objectives.
8. Liaise with auditors to ensure annual audits are carried out effectively.
