Lecturer - Hairdressing and Barbering

• Annual Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 including London Weighting
• Location: Hayes
• Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 15th July 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our team on a fixed-term basis at our Hayes campus, within the School of Hair, Beauty, Hospitality, Early Years, and Performing Arts. This role involves teaching Hairdressing and Barbering to learners aged 16 and above.

• Deliver high-quality teaching in various Hairdressing and Barbering courses, including Level 1 Hair and Beauty, VRQ Level 2 Women’s Hair and Men’s Barbering, VRQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Hairdressing, Level 2 Technical Certificate in Hairdressing, and Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Hairdressing.
• Engage and inspire young vocational learners aged 16-19 through innovative teaching methods.
• Utilise industry experience to provide practical and theoretical knowledge to students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Participate in the development and evaluation of courses and curricula.
• Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
• Perform related administrative duties and participate in departmental meetings.

• Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing (essential).
• Proven experience working in the Hairdressing industry (essential).
• Experience in teaching within the specified subject area (essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
• Ability to manage classes and deliver curriculum effectively.
