The Role As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall efficiency of our finance department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining cash flow records.
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Handling accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Assisting with VAT returns and compliance reporting.
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team.
- Communicating with suppliers and resolving any invoice or payment queries.
What We’re Looking For - Qualifications: AAT qualified or working towards an accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar accounts or finance role.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and strong Excel skills.
- Attributes: A proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
