Assistant Operations Manager

Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting confident and experienced Assistant Operations Managers to join our friendly and proactive Client in Tilbury, Essex to control and support the smooth running across their shifts internally.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Key Benefits on offer:

Salary: £37,000 to £40,000 per annum - depending on experience

Position: Full time, Permanent Position for you - Monday to Friday's, NO weekends.

Shifts: Rotation happens on shifts every 6 weeks approx and flexibility is required to support the business.

Hours: Monday to Friday's only :
Shift 1 - 6:00am to 3:00pm /
Shift 2 - 2:00pm to 11:00pm /
Shift 3 - 9:00pm to 6:00am.

Your responsibilities include:

You will be responsible for overseeing the night-shift warehouse performance and ensuring the smooth running of the operations and lead your team accordingly to ensure orders are picked and loaded to meet customer orders.

• Lead and manage all aspects of the current shift in the Warehouse.
• Achieve operational objectives and ensure KPI’s are met.
• Manage and coach the team.
• Promote and ensure compliance with our policies and procedures, including health and safety.
• Implement and develop new initiatives ensuring best practice and processes are improved and followed.
• Stock management and control.
• Pick and load lorries with pallet orders, have that hands-on working approach and management style to lead the team and also complete picking tasks if workloads increase or you need to cover holidays/sickness internally.
• Double check delivery & pick notes for your team.
• Offer training & Support as necessary.
• Ensure smooth and accurate despatch of all vehicles.
• Liaise with internal departments within the site such as Transport, Sales or other department managers as required.
• Promote positive communication with drivers / all shift handovers.

You will need:

• Confident and outgoing individual.
• Valid & in-date Counterbalance Forklift Certificate.
• Experience of supporting and running a warehouse/dispatch operation is essential.
• Excellent people and operations management track record.
• Confidence with the ability to take responsibility and make decisions in a pressurised environment.
• Reliable individual with excellent communication skills.
• Able to adapt to working shift hours and support the business to ensure deadlines and deliveries are met.
• Ability to learn quickly, respond positively to changing demands, embrace and implement new ideas.
• Min. of 3 years warehousing supervisory experience.
• Good time management skills.
• UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
