Assistant Financial Accountant

Michael Page is exclusively supporting an organisation based in Salisbury who is looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their accountancy team on an interim contract until the end of July 2025. This role is ideal for someone with strong statutory accounting knowledge OR possibly someone who has audit prep/external audit experience. This reports to the Financial Controller.

Description

As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Manage daily AP, AR and cash management on Sage
• Support with creating budgets with the FD
• Assist with cashflow forecasting
• Support with producing quarterly accounts
• Monthly reconciliations
• Produce financial management reports
• Monitor cash balances
• Quarterly VAT returns

Profile

The chosen candidate for the Assistant Financial Accountant role, will be able to do most if not all of the above.
