Assistant Accountant

A great hybrid opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Accountant to join a reputable and growing accounting practice in Andover.

The company is looking for a enthusiastic and reliable person to join a very supportive and friendly team. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for clients, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting the broader accounting practice.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records by processing day-to-day transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries).
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
• Prepare VAT returns and other tax-related filings.
• Preparation of CIS returns
• Prepayments and accruals
• Prepare and process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Accounting practice experience would be an advantage
