Financial Accountant

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be supporting with month end activities, liaising with their auditors and helping run the audit and year end reporting as well as building out their group reporting. This is a newly created role which should develop into a Financial Controller position over the next 12-24 months.

Client Details

My client are a growing, circa £100 million turnover Private Equity backed business in the Manufacturing and Engineering space. Following some new acquisitions, the business is now required to operate as a Group and as a result needs to build out their Group reporting and add a technically strong Financial Accountant to their Finance team.

Description

• Lead and coordinate preparation, review, and providing insights on management accounts.
• Perform reconciliation, analysis, and commentary for balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of management information and analysis
• Assist with UK/Irish VAT and CIS reconciliation and reporting processes.
• Contribute to year-end audit preparations and support.
• Develop and document internal / system controls and cross-departmental processes.
• Support the integration, accounting, and reporting of group entities.
• Support on the above for the HoF for integration of group business

Profile

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• This role would suit someone coming out of Practice and into Industry for the first time OR someone already in Industry
• Strong technical knowledge
• Experinece of dealing with auditors
• Someone with ambitions of becoming Financial Controller
• Strong commnication skills
