Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant | Media business | Manchester |£45,000-£50,000 | 6 month Fixed Term Contract

A Financial Accountant is required to work for a leading Media business based in Manchester (hybrid working, 1-2 days per week in the office) on a 6 month contract. You will be joining at a key time for this well-known brand as they focus on several finance transformation projects.

Reporting to Head of Financial Accounts, you will be owning the accounting for various entities including month-end, balance sheet and intercompany work.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting with the year-end and month-end preparation for various entities
• Owning the balance sheet reconciliations for various entities
• Managing intercompany reconciliation work
• Preparing financial statements for various entities
• Responsibility for journal entries and payroll reconciliations
• Supporting with the transition onto new ERP system

What they are looking for

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (or qualified by experience) with experience owning month-end and year-end. You will ideally have experience working in a larger company business and have knowledge of Oracle. You will be proactive in nature and enjoy supporting with the improvement on processes on the new ERP system.
