Senior Management Accountant

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant to join a very reputable Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based near central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£50,000 - £55,000 plus performance bonus and wider benefits package

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and supporting schedules in accordance with current accounting and tax legislation
• Preparation of supporting information for the annual audit
• Responsible for establishing correct tax treatment of ad-hoc transactions
• Production of monthly income forecasts
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations such as Debtor and Creditor reports
• Preparation of subsidiary VAT returns
• Analysis and review of staff expense claims to ensure claims are within the company staff expenses policy
• Ensure payments are raised in accordance with agreed payment terms with suppliers
• Assist with day-to-day cash management
• Produce schedules to support the consolidated group accounts
• Ensure Overhead Costs are allocated correctly and highlight any issues to management
• Manage recharge of intercompany costs between subsidiaries
• Reviewing the work of 2 members of the finance team and supporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc financial accounting work

Person specification:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
• Strong management accounts preparation experience from industry or audit background with strong academics
• Ability to report financial data clearly and concisely
• Previous experience working within a commercial environment
• Proven Stakeholder relationship management experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Intermediate level Excel
