Job Purpose As a Senior Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a client portfolio, ensuring exceptional service delivery across both compliance and advisory work. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of approximately 280 personal tax clients
- Overseeing the preparation and review of personal tax returns (approximately 80% compliance)
- Providing tailored advisory services, including capital gains tax planning and other ad hoc tax matters (approximately 20% advisory)
- Acting as the primary client contact, addressing queries and providing proactive solutions
- Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met and opportunities for tax planning are identified
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members to encourage their professional development
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and advising clients accordingly

The Successful Applicant - Significant experience in personal tax management, ideally within a practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory services
- Proven ability to manage a substantial and diverse client portfolio
- Excellent client relationship skills with a proactive, solutions-driven approach
- Exceptional organisational abilities and the capability to meet multiple deadlines
- Leadership and mentoring experience to guide and develop junior team members
- A recognised tax qualification (such as ATT or CTA) is preferred but not essential with relevant experience
