Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Droitwich, Worcestershire (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per annum
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the CFO and General Manager, we are seeking a proactive and ambitious Financial Controller to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and lead the back-office functions. This pivotal role will also involve producing monthly management accounts for the board, driving accurate cost accounting for projects and maintenance agreements, and spearheading system and process improvements to support the company’s ambitious growth plans.
As a key member of the middle management team, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to provide financial insights and collaborate on delivering strategic goals.
About the Company:
My client are a leading technical outsourcing business located in Droitwich, Worcestershire. They partner with top technology OEMs and their sales channels to provide whole-of-life product support, including commissioning, maintenance, and warranty services. Their team of over 70 field service engineers operates nationwide, supported by their workshop and stores facility in Droitwich and a sister operation with 10 staff is based in Ireland.
Recently acquired by new owners, my client is entering a dynamic growth phase, creating exciting opportunities for entrepreneurial and driven professionals to shape the company’s future.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations, including rent, utilities, insurance, and other back-office functions.
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the board.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate cost accounting for projects and maintenance agreements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualifications: CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Experience: Sound understanding of accounting processes and financial management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive mindset.
