Are you an enthusiastic and proactive administrator with experience in a student facing, higher education role? Are you excited to commit to a six-month campus-based assignment supporting students? If so, Signature Recruitment is pleased to partner with a leading London university seeking a Student Office Administrator. This temporary six-month assignment (with the possibility to extend) will be fully campus-based and starts in early January.

As a Student Office Administrator, you will use your understanding of the student lifecycle to assist in the efficient administration of all programmes and will undertake day-to-day student support relating to various processes throughout the year such as timetabling, modules, assessments and examinations. In addition, you will be the primary contact for students, staff and visitors, assisting with queries, triaging and signposting as necessary.

Student Office Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for inquiries within the Student Office, offering support to staff, students, and visitors
  • Supporting the Senior Student Office Administrator with timetabling, mark sheets, student records, assessment and examination administration
  • Maintaining accurate databases and record-keeping systems, liaising with other departments as required
  • Running weekly reports to ensure all students are registered on the correct modules and have access to all systems
  • Attending a bi-weekly Teaching Operation Meeting and other general meetings when required and producing well drafted Minutes
  • Assisting with other ad hoc administrative duties in order to support the team and wider university

Student Office Administrator Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in higher education administration, particularly in a student-facing role showing exceptional customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organisation and time management
  • A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving who is eager to assist and capable of handling multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Highly proficient IT skills including a confidence with the use of Excel for data management
