Engage Education is excited to be working with a school in Portsmouth to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and play a key role in students’ education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for leading lessons in the absence of regular teachers, covering a variety of subjects. This role requires minimal planning or marking and includes full training provided by both the school and Engage Education. The school is easily accessible and is dedicated to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that equips students with the skills they need for the future.

We’re looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with students aged 11-16.
• Are confident in managing classroom behaviour.
• Are adaptable and able to cover different subjects as needed.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with students.
• Have a professional yet approachable teaching style.
• Are enthusiastic about education and student development.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, or those with experience in roles such as Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor. While experience managing challenging behaviour is beneficial, it is not essential.
