We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our client's dynamic team within the built environment sector. This role is crucial for leading the sourcing and delivery of procurement for various construction projects, focusing on civil assets such as embankments and bridges, as well as premises maintenance.
Day-to-day of the role: - Finalise procurement strategies and liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Host workshops to gather input and align project objectives across teams.
- Produce documentation and lead it through approval processes.
- Develop tender packs and lead the procurement process through to award, managing all stages including tender clarifications, evaluations, and the final award process.
- Work closely with the Commercial Managers and other team members in the Built Environment team to manage contracts and maintain high standards of procurement practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience in procurement, specifically within the public sector and ideally related to construction or civil projects.
- Strong understanding of civils maintenance and the ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Experience in leading procurement processes from strategy to award, including managing tender stages and stakeholder engagement.
- CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
