The Opportunity:
Our client, a global and worldwide leader in the chemical manufacturing industry and based in Teesside, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. The role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the role, with direct exposure to the Senior Leadership Team.
Main duties/responsibilities:
- Month-end preparation of accruals and prepayments;
- Post journals;
- Balance Sheet reconciliations;
- Reconciliations of Management Accounts to Group Reporting;
- Manage and review bank reconciliation process;
- Run weekly and monthly debtor and creditor reports;
- Drive monthly cost centre manager meetings;
- Provide weekly cash position forecast summary to Group;
- Control and update IFRS16 Reporting to Group;
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns;
- Coordinate annual budget process;
- Prepare draft and final annual corporation tax packs;
- Support external audit process; and
- Ad hoc duties and project involvement.
You will be/have: - A qualified accountant or qualified by experience;
- Technically competent;
- Comfortable working at pace with competing priorities;
- Comfortable managing one direct report
