Operations Manager - Kings Lynn - Attractive package

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit an Operations Manager with immediate effect for our leading client based in the Kings Lynn area.

The UK Operations Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in production across 3 UK sites; Lincolnshire, Kings Lynn and Ipswich. You will implement strategies to improve productivity and manage resources effectively.

Operations Manager - Key Duties:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the 3 production facilities, ensuring compliance wit safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, ensure stock accuracy and execute timely manufacturing of products.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the Operations budget, ensuring cost effective management of resources and expenses.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with UK Distribution Manager and Trading Manager to ensure a seamless supply chain process.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies relating to manufacturing processes and health and safety.
  • Reporting: Develop KPI’s for key production metrics, safety and quality and prepare regular reports to senior management to guide strategic decisions.
  • CapEx Management: Develop, oversee and execute capital expenditure projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy, expected time frames and budget parameters.
  • Maintenance and Engineering Management: Manage the maintenance and engineering team to optimise production processes, implement new technologies and maintain equipment reliability.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

Proven experience as an Operations Manager, preferably in the Chemicals sector.

Relevant Degree - Desirable

Strong understanding of Production Processes, CaPex planning and QC.

Experience in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems is essential.

Excellent Leadership and team management skills.

A strong and positive approach towards driving a culture of continuous improvement.
