IT Project Manager

We are looking for an IT Project Manager with experience delivering into the public sector for our client in Gloucester. Intial 6 month contract paying up £350 per day with 2 days on site per week.

What will you be doing?

• Lead a variety of projects across the organisation, ranging from small tactical initiatives to large-scale strategic programmes.
• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and initiation through to execution and closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, setting clear timelines, deliverables, and KPIs.
• Oversee project budgets, ensuring spending aligns with approved financial plans.
• Allocate resources efficiently, balancing project demands with team capacity.

• Demonstrated experience managing IT projects end-to-end, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
• Understanding of IT systems, software development processes, or infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira, MS Project, or Trello.
• History of leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Strong people management skills, including mentoring and motivating team members.

• Day rate up to £350 per day
• 6 month contract likely to extend
• Hybrid working 2 days on site in Gloucester
