Key Account Manager- phs Group
National Travel required, flexible on location of suitable candidate as the role will cover locations across UK
We are looking for an experienced key account manager to join our highly successful team in our HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, catering) division here at the phs Group. Reporting to the Head of HoReCa, the role will be to primarily account and contract manage the existing Key Account portfolio to support and meet customer's needs on an ongoing basis, while also driving new business sales revenue into these existing accounts through various routes to deliver individual and team sales targets.
Key Tasks
- Achievement of annual new business turnover target from the portfolio of Strategic accounts
- Pro-active day to Contract management and successful renewal of contracts.
- Present and gain agreement from all the customers within the portfolio that ensures the customer sees this approach as added value from their current relationship with PHS, that it supports both customer and PHS commercial requirements and supports the customer with continuous improvement and innovation.
- Work with executive and support team to implement a clear understanding of the customer's organisations and build strong working partnership across all areas of the business
- Work with the team to ensure that the customer experiences the best and most appropriate level of support and service
- Generate timely management reports as required that will include pipelines, current portfolio revenue, identifying risks and opportunities with action plan to support
- Work proactively with your portfolio, with a planned schedule of visits, using reports and information to keep the customer up to date, ensuring that you get the most from your visits and calls
- Performance will be measured against growth of portfolio and pool of accounts by a defined value and planned call rates as agreed.
Knowledge and Experience - A proven service or sales professional operating at key and high value account level. A growth track record in a B2B sales/service environment (service or consumables), with a strong level of commercial acumen, gained from account management or sales background
- Strong knowledge of PHS's marketplaces and competitors, or experience of similar markets
- Highly developed selling skills with excellent communication skills both F2F and written, with the interpersonal skills to influence other parts of the business
- IT literate, with an emphasis on using technology to be effective and productive
- Good strategic planning and day to day organising skills, high in initiative and problem-solving skills
- Elevated levels of energy, commitment and tenacity with a strong understanding of the sales/service process and large accounts processes and buying behaviours
- Ability to work on own, planning diary and working autonomously within your defined role
- Full clean Driving License and clearance of enhanced DBS check is required for this role
In return for your commitment and expertise, you will get: - Base salary of £40-45,000 DOE plus additional OTE of £22,500
