About the Role:

We are looking for a caring and compassionate Residential Home Manager to create a warm and supportive home for children who have been through difficult experiences. This is a special opportunity to make a real difference by providing a safe and loving environment where children can feel secure, valued, and encouraged to grow and flourish.

As the Residential Home Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for the children. You will lead a team of caring professionals, working together to create a positive environment where each child’s individual needs and aspirations are understood and supported.

You would be joining a provider with a proven history of delivering several residential services throughout the Doncaster area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing individual and team performance
  • Ensuring all expenditure is monitored, controlled, and accounted for
  • Planning, reviewing, and designing care plans
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of statutory requirements
  • Staff development and managing rotas
  • Supervision and appraisals
  • Maintaining the homes to the highest standards

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of children's homes regulations
  • At least 2 years of experience working within a children's residential setting at management or deputy level
  • NVQ Level 4/5, RMA (or recognised equivalent) or willingness to undertake the Level 5 Management qualification
  • Good knowledge of child development issues and current legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work to the highest standards under pressure
  • Driving Licence essential

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Some evenings and weekends as required
  • On-call rota system

Experience:

  • Recent experience in a children's home setting as a Deputy Manager/Manager: 2 years (required)
