About the Role
We are seeking a Drama Teacher to join a supportive and creative faculty at a thriving secondary school in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering students' creativity, confidence, and passion for the performing arts.
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact on students artistic development. You will have the chance to teach engaging lessons, lead extracurricular drama activities, and collaborate with a talented team of educators.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Drama lessons for students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Inspire and challenge students, fostering a love for the subject and encouraging artistic expression.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure growth.
Lead extracurricular Drama clubs and school productions.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Drama curriculum.
Promote the values of creativity, teamwork, and self-expression in all aspects of school life.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
A PGCE in Drama, or a Degree in Drama (or a related field) with a teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Drama to secondary school students, preferably in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to inspiring students.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and school life.
