About the Role:

My client, a leading UK-based IT Services & IT Consulting organisation is seeking a Data Engineer to join their AI and Data practice. Your responsibilities will include the deployment, optimisation and the maintenance of the Starburst and Dell Data Lakehouse installations allowing clients to access their data across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• The management and deployment of Trino/Starburst
• The configuration of servers, applications and Parameters
• Creating a unified data platform by integrating Starburst with other data sources
• Troubleshooting any issues related to servers and providing root cause analysis
• Providing Starburst administration and best practices training

Candidate Technical Skills / Role Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience (7+ years) in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Big Data (Hadoop/Hive/Spark) and Cloud technologies
• Strong experience working with Trino/Starburst/CLI
• Prior programming experience with Python or Java
• Unix/ Linux experience
• Certification: Starburst Certified Practitioner.
• Data requirements knowledge for AI
