• As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to ensure the completion of the work set by the teacher. Working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school will really help refine your behaviour management strategies as you are responsible for managing the behaviour of the whole class. You are required to safeguard students' well-being, feedback at the end of the day to the cover manager, including reporting any issues.
• As a Teaching Assistant you could either work on a 1-2-1 or in a small group setting. The role of a Teaching Assistant could see you working with students with SEND/ALN or students who have been identified as requiring catch up. As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to communicate with the subject teacher to discuss specific requirements for the lesson and students.
