As a Graduate seeking PGCE experience Tradewind will be able to place you as a Cover Supervisor or a Teaching Assistant. How do the roles differ?

• As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to ensure the completion of the work setby the teacher. Working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school will really help refine your behaviour management strategies as you are responsible for managing the behaviour of the whole class. You are required to safeguard students' wellbeing, feedback at the end of the day to the cover manager, including reporting any issues.
• As a Teaching Assistantyou could either work on a 1-2-1 or in a small group setting. The role of a Teaching Assistant could see you working with students with SEND/ALN or students who have been identified as requiring catch up. As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to communicate with the subject teacher to discuss specific requirements for the lesson and students.
