The company is seeking a skilled Design Engineer with expertise in sheet metal, fabrication, and HVAC systems to join its innovative team.

Position Overview:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing containment  systems, focusing on sheet metal components, HVAC integration, and fabrication processes. This role requires a strong background in mechanical design and a hands-on approach to addressing complex engineering challenges while adhering to industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops containment and aseptic systems with a specific emphasis on sheet metal components, fabrication, and HVAC systems.
  • Produces detailed 3D models, CAD drawings, and technical documentation using design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and project management, to ensure seamless design implementation.
  • Optimizes designs for manufacturability, prioritizing cost-effectiveness and efficiency in fabrication and assembly.
  • Applies engineering principles to select appropriate materials and fabrication techniques, including sheet metal forming and welding.
  • Designs HVAC systems for containment environments, addressing airflow control, filtration, and temperature regulation to meet GMP and ISO standards.
  • Performs engineering calculations to ensure structural integrity, thermal efficiency, and system reliability.
  • Conducts risk assessments, design reviews, and testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stays updated on advancements in sheet metal design, fabrication technologies, and HVAC systems relevant to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
  • Provides technical support to resolve design-related issues during manufacturing or installation phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing systems involving sheet metal, fabrication, and HVAC
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal design principles, fabrication processes, and material selection.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems design, including airflow calculations, filtration, and temperature control for cleanroom or containment applications.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards such as GMP, FDA, and ISO.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
