Tradewind Recruitment are proudly working alongside an amazing special needs primary school in Preston, who are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic, hardworking, inspirational and caring teacher to educate their wonderful children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
This is a long term, covering for maternity throughout the 2024/25 academic year, starting in November 2024, on a part-time basis on THURSDAYS and FRIDAYS. The daily pay ranges from £162.35 to £171.71 (M1 - M2 MPS), with pay administered via PAYE by our amazing onsite payroll team (with no need for signing up to a third party umbrella company!!)
ECTs (early career teacher) with SEN specialism and specialist school experience are welcome to apply.
The role will involve teaching a range of classes across the primary age range, covering for teacher PPA time. Class sizes are small with up to 10 children in each class, and differentiation will be required for pupils with a range of complex learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and autism.
The successful applicant will be ably supported by experienced and qualified support staff on a 1:2 ratio, who will provide a range of interventions with pupils. There will also be requirement to differentiate the curriculum to cater for the wide range of abilities and additional needs in the classroom, and experience in this field is highly desirable.
