Chase and Holland are delighted to partner with one of our longest standing clients in the search for a Buyer to join their expanding purchasing function.

The role is based on site five days a week, near Doncaster within a short drive from the A1, so has excellent commuting links. It will sit within a retail environment, so prior experience within retail would be extremely advantageous. 

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role will form a part of a team which is responsible for the entire product catalogue, numbering several thousand SKUs. This role has complete autonomy and functional leadership for the purchasing function and will be responsible for assessment of the current portfolio of stocked products and identifying any cost saving opportunities, then once this has been effectively completed, looking at a longer term strategic plan for the purchasing function such as supplier management and rationalisation.

The ideal candidate will come from a retail background and have expereince of buying products from the following categories: 

* Tooling
* Homewares
* Pet care
* Garden supplies
