Our client, a highly respected SEN Trust supporting children and young people aged 2–19 years, is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Plumber to join their Estates team on a permanent basis.

The Role

Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will take ownership of delivering high-quality plumbing and mechanical maintenance services across the Trust’s three sites (one in Maidenhead and two in Reading). Acting as the Trust’s subject matter expert for all plumbing-related matters, you will be responsible for ensuring plumbing systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant regulations.

The role will involve a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, supporting the smooth operation of specialist facilities including hydrotherapy and splash pools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across all sites.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain, service and repair pipework, sanitary ware, water heaters, valves and associated equipment.
  • Support compliance activities, inspections and remedial works.
  • Assist with upgrades, installations and improvement projects.
  • Ensure specialist facilities, including hydrotherapy and splash pools, remain fully operational and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work to a high standard.
  • Liaise effectively with site teams, contractors and the Estates Manager.

About You

To be considered, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing and Domestic Heating (or equivalent), or be time-served.
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing plumbing systems within a commercial environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Working Hours

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:30am – 5:00pm

Salary & Benefits

  • £34,000 - £36,400 per annum
