Management Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective financial control across the business.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

• Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and KPIs

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

• Conduct cost analysis to improve operational efficiency

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Provide financial insights and reporting to support business decisions

• Collaborate with department heads to ensure financial alignment with operational goals

• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors when required

• Continuously improve financial processes and systems for better efficiency and accuracy

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)

• Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role

• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills

• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience in [Insert industry, e.g., manufacturing, retail, tech]

• Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools

• Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
