About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will involve purchasing, supplier management, financial support, and administrative duties to ensure smooth operations. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, managing imports/exports, coordinating stock control, and supporting financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing for best value
  • Oversee the import/export process, including documentation and customs compliance
  • Assist with stock control and liaise with technical teams for costing
  • Support finance functions, including debtor control and overseas subsidiary accounts
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and maintain accurate records

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Experience in a purchasing department
  • Knowledge of international import/export procedures and customs clearance
  • Strong administrative and office skills
  • IT literate, with experience using Sage 200, Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Technical product knowledge

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexible, adaptable, and a great team player
  • Strong numerical skills
