Quantity Surveyor - RC Frame / Groundworks

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with proven RC Frame and Groundworks experience to join their expanding team. This role requires flexibility, as the successful candidate will work across multiple projects located in London and the Midlands regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, submit, and agree on monthly cost reports.
• Prepare, submit, and agree on periodic valuations for completed works with both trade contractors and the client.
• Manage rolling final accounts and retention releases.
• Produce cost value reconciliations (CVR), provide regular budget updates, and maintain an up-to-date cost control system to inform monthly progress reporting.
• Oversee the procurement process, including placing orders, instructing trade contractors, and preparing comprehensive subcontracts or works contracts.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, collaborating closely with Project Managers and site teams.
• Measure and price tenders from various sources of information.
• Lead negotiations with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Compile trade contract bid documents, conduct tender analysis, and issue purchase orders.
• Attend client meetings, design team meetings, and trade contractor meetings as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in Groundworks and RC Frame projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to cost management.
