Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional and complex needs? We have an exciting opportunity to join a Primary School in Erdington on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children with additional and complex needs, providing tailored support to ensure they thrive in their learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping to manage challenging behaviour with effective, positive strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional and complex needs
· Assist in managing classroom behaviour using strong behaviour management techniques
· Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills
· Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
· Promote an inclusive environment that encourages student participation and confidence
The Ideal Candidate:
· Level 2 qualified as a Teaching Assistant (minimum)
· Experience working with children with additional and complex needs
· Strong behaviour management skills and experience managing challenging behaviour
· Team Teach training (or a willingness to undertake training) is highly desirable
· A passion for working with children and supporting their individual learning needs
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
Strong behaviour management skills are a must.

Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child related references.
