Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
- Produce month-end reports
- Update the cashflow forecast
- Maintain the customer and supplier ledger
- Process expenses
- Undertake profit and loss analysis, variance analysis and report analysis
- Support customers and suppliers with incoming queries regarding finance
- Liaise with the accountant on accruals and pre-payments
- Allocate supplier payments and handle credit control duties
- Support the Senior Management Accountant with ad-hoc tasks and assist the wider accounts team to ensure smooth operations
Accounts Assistant Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience gained as an Accounts Assistant/Accounts Administrator is preferred
- Possesses good knowledge of all aspects of sales ledger, purchase ledger and reconciliations
- Capable of using accounting software and knowledge of Cargo Wise would be advantageous
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment and enjoys working within a high-volume accounts office
- Strong communicator who is confident liaising with clients and suppliers and handling queries
- Excellent eye for detail and demonstrates superb organisation skills
