Role Summary

The increasing transformation demands on the Group and for the USA demand a highly experienced regulatory reconciliation Implementation Delivery Lead.

The Delivery lead must have the requisite experienced in safeguarding financial integrity within the design and implementation of daily client money reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with FCA's CASS regulations. This position will ensure delivery of accurate financial reporting, client money protections and regulatory adherence and in doing so creating a best-in-class CASS framework with values which run into the $bn's.

The role will be responsible for the development, design and delivery of Client Cash Management solution for EQ ensuring the firm can account for all of its client's money held at all times.

This role is based in the UK and will report to US Transformation Delivery Lead. Some travel to the US and India will be required throughout the delivery life cycle.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • The role will develop and oversee the delivery of an integrated delivery plan for Phase One of our Client Cash Management solution project.
  • Phase Two will deliver the Client Cash Management strategic end state solution across the US and UK into a single accounting model with greater automation along with sweeping and pooling capabilities within the design.
  • Phase Two will deliver synergy across both jurisdictions and the location of the operational team will be in India, therefore, rightsizing and Right shoring will also be required for the successful delivery of Client Cash Management.
  • The role will have direct delivery responsibility for our delivery plan, as well as co-ordination across different delivery programmes, projects, and operational functions (Transfer Agency Ops, Treasury and Finance).
  • Delivery of daily internal and external client money reconciliations maintaining accuracy and compliance of our financial records, ensuring handling of payments, receipts, distributions and supporting financial integrity are meeting regulatory standards.
  • Creation of manging journals, operational loss reporting and investigation processes along with supporting rectification for funds whilst adhering to CASS 7 compliance.
  • Define requirements for regulatory documentation submissions such as CMAR, tax reconciliations, CASS resolutions packs and CASS breach reporting.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • Must have client cash management implementation experience working within CASS Rule 7 for Client Money Rules and Client Money Distribution
  • Must have previous experience of transformational change, in a structured and controlled environment
  • Experience in delivery new accounting models
  • Execution and delivery of Right shoring: Relocation of work to another jurisdiction and the delivery of savings onshore.
  • Development of target operating model experience
  • Experience of operating across multiple jurisdictions
  • Collaboration. This role requires an individual who can navigate and influence and challenge across the group at a senior level.
  • Complexity. Be able to define and resolve complex issues with clear communication and planning.
  • Outcome focussed.
  • Communicate orally and written in an engaging and effective way.
