Supporting Families Worker

Job Description

Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Supporting Family Worker with Rochdale Council.

Rochdale Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and record observations of supervised family time/contact sessions in Family Hubs and community settings.
• Engage in direct work with children and families, offering parenting support and child-led play.
• Work in a trauma-informed manner to support the needs of cared-for children and their families.
• Ensure court-directed sessions are well-organized and meet the needs of children and families.
• Manage time effectively to work across multiple locations, including areas outside the borough when needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in direct work with children and families, ideally in facilitating and recording family time sessions.
• A sound understanding of the needs of cared-for children and their families.
• The ability to work creatively, adapt to a dynamic environment, and meet the needs of diverse families.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with children, young people, parents, and professionals.
• The use of personal transport for work purposes is essential.
