Salary: 22.73-22.73 per hour

Contract

At Capital City College (CCC) we are dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional education and training. Our focus is providing our learners with the skills to be successful in their futures, whether that is continuing in education through higher education, or an apprenticeship, or supporting them into a higher-level job.

About the role:
We are looking for 2 hourly paid student engagement officers to join our dynamic enrichment team. You will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the student enrichment and engagement programme at the campus where you are based (Holloway or Angel). You will plan, organise, deliver, and evaluate an exciting and wide-ranging Student Enrichment & Engagement Programme that includes clubs & societies, enriching skills development, awareness raising and wellbeing workshops, projects and events, student leadership and student voice activities, Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) Awards, student volunteerism & social action, student awards and celebrations and sports & physical activities.

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is open to a challenge and enjoys working within a creative, supportive, and fast paced team. You will have at least two years' experience working with young people (aged 16-19) and ideally a degree or a relevant professional qualification (youth work, social work, teaching). You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and be passionate about young people's engagement, participation and skills development. You will be innovative and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and enjoy working as part of a team as well as having an ability to work independently, use your initiative and create opportunities. You will have excellent organisational, problem solving, planning and group facilitation skills and an ability to network and build partnerships.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CCC team who are passionate and dedicated to providing our students with the best possible teaching and training to fulfil the futures best suited to them. We recognise how hard our people work towards ensuring our students are supported throughout all areas of their college experience, and thus we provide an excellent set of employee benefits.

At CCC we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all our activities for everyone who learns and works here. We respect and value differences and welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds. We create a safe and trusting professional environment where people are treated well and equally.

We are committed to safeguarding and protection of young people and adults and follow Safer Recruitment processes. All successful candidates will need to complete a DBS check, with some roles requiring an Enhanced check.

Our values Respect, Aspiration, Collaboration and Opportunity are the key ideas and principles that people within our organisation and our partners believe are important. They sum Our Purpose: why we do what we do, and Our Approach: how we go about our work.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy if we receive sufficient application for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
